Today I've prepared a new design by talented Romanian architects. Irina Radu from I decorate.Let's share the story of Sorina and Cristian's apartment, two young people from Bucharest.
Sorina and Cristian contacted us two months before their wedding to furnish their apartment. The renovation of their recently purchased apartment was also scheduled to take two months, ensuring it would be ready before the big event. The project progressed rapidly, as the deadline for such a complex undertaking was nearly impossible.
However, the beneficiaries gave me free rein and everything went flawlessly.
The two desired a cheerful and welcoming interior where they could find all the joy of their youth at the beginning of their journey. Reaching this goal required sustained work, including changing installations, finishes, and ordering furniture. The result was up to their expectations.
One of the main requirements at the beginning of the project was space optimization. Thus, in all rooms, we tried to maximize the value of every square meter.
For my bedroom, I chose a wardrobe with mirrored doors spanning the entire width of the room, alongside a TV unit with various visible and concealed storage spaces.
For the bedroom, I chose a custom-made bed with a padded headboard for added comfort and storage space underneath. The color palette includes accents of yellow and turquoise, balanced by white and grays. The second bedroom was designed as a relaxation room, for watching games and movies with friends.
In both hallways, I transformed the existing alcoves into diverse storage areas.
We opted for a simple design without suspended cabinets, but one that meets all storage needs. We incorporated the dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, and other desired accessories. The walls are painted with whiteboard paint so the two can write down their favorite recipes, shopping lists, or tasks to be done that day.
This created a contrast between the black walls and white furniture, while touches of yellow add a touch of cheer to the space.
