We are always happy when our readers gain the courage to send us their own interior design projects. Today we invite you to discover Ioana's apartment in Bucharest.

With a surface area of 40 square meters, the two-room apartment underwent a complete renovation. Ioana is passionate about interior design and this makeover was the perfect opportunity for her to put her creative side into practice.

“I tried to create a design that would appeal to everyone, as the apartment is currently intended for rent. I chose to keep the original parquet flooring which was reconditioned and oiled to preserve its natural look. For the rest of the house, I used high-quality finishes designed to withstand the test of time.

The design is based on a neutral palette with small pops of yellow and green to break up the monotony.

For the living area, I decided to expand its surface by extending it onto the balcony. The two zones are delimited by a marble countertop which can be used as a dining table, a bar area or even a workspace.

In the kitchen, I opted for a compact design with a straight layout, taking into account the width of only 1.60 meters. Everything is built-in to give a sense of continuity and visual unity.

The furniture chosen by Ioana is simple but functional. Both in the living room and bedroom there are two wardrobes with sliding doors offering much needed storage space for a small space like this apartment. The kitchen furniture was custom-made, while the rest was purchased from Jysk. The lighting fixtures are from Leroy Merlin.

The discreet decorations manage to liven up the space and create a coherent, pleasant decor.

For this entire renovation and makeover, Ioana needed a budget of 10,000 Euros.

We hope that this apartment design will inspire you too!
